Amsted Global Solutions (AGS), part of AFS Corporate Member Amsted Rail, announced an agreement October 27 by which it has become the exclusive distributor for all manganese steel wear products made by the Frog, Switch & Manufacturing Company (Frog Switch). Chicago-based AGS is a supplier of large, highly complex castings, springs, and components for industrial applications. 

In its new partnership, AGS will support the sales and engineering of Frog Switch designs and metal specifications, offering customer service that brings more product opportunities to AGS customers. Frog Switch manufactures manganese steel castings for the crushing and grinding industry. 

“We are excited to bring together these two companies that both have over 100 years of proven excellence in their industries,” said Kevin Skibinski, AGS senior vice president of Commercial. “Frog Switch’s strength in the mining and aggregate business coupled with the global supply network of AGS will be a great advantage for our customers.” 

The company also announced industry veteran Bill Walters joined the AGS team in early October as director of Sales.
