AFS is excited to announce that this year’s 2022 Government Affairs Fly-In will be in-person from June 7-8.  The two-day event will include opportunities for advocating policy on Capitol Hill, professional networking, and multiple chances to hear from leading experts on a variety of topics that will help inform you of important policy decisions that could impact your metalcasting business. This year’s program will focus on a wide array of topics including policy discussions on energy, enhanced enforcement by EPA, updated Buy American procurement requirements, tariffs, supply chain challenges, critical minerals, and labor, OSHA and workplace trends, and much more! Our luncheon keynote will provide an in-depth overview of the 2022 Mid-term elections and impact on the business community, with nationally recognized political analyst, Jim Ellis, and creator of Ellis Insight publication.
During our annual reception, AFS will present congressional champion awards to members of the House of Representatives and Senate who have worked diligently and championed U.S. metalcasting priorities during the past two years. 

Day 2 of the Fly-In is dedicated to face-to-face meetings on Capitol Hill with your members of Congress and their staff to educate them about the importance of the metalcasting industry, the supply chain and workforce challenges facing your business, and advocate for our important policy goals. We will provide you with the tools necessary to participate in these critical congressional meetings by pre-scheduling your appointments and providing talking points.
