Turn Up the Volume for Metalcasting’s Biggest Hit

Modern Casting Staff Report

Metalcasters, industry suppliers, OEMs, casting customers, researchers, students, and thought leaders will all converge in Atlanta next month for the triennial CastExpo tradeshow and Congress, April 12–15.

From massive exhibit floor to a daily array of technical and management sessions, plus keynotes and networking events, the CastExpo is this year’s industry headquarters for connecting with over 6,000 attendees across multiple casting disciplines and specialties.

More than 200 exhibitors serving the entire metalcasting supply chain will spread across thousands of square feet of conventional hall landscape, offering everything from consumables to equipment to professional services. You can shop at the AFS bookstore, attend various presentations in the Casting Source Theater, relax with friends, and sink a few golf balls at the AFS Hub’s putting green.

The Exhibits Pass provides access to the exhibit floor and Casting Source Theater presentations, as well as the Hoyt Memorial Lecture, and three additional keynote sessions:

1) Olympic Gold Medalist Dominique Dawes, a three-time Olympic gymnast, presents: “Success is a Journey, Not a Destination” Sharing her own challenging journey, she inspires and empowers audiences to embrace a team mentality, use failure as fuel, and believe in the power of their dreams.

2) United States Navy SEAL Rear Admiral (ret.) Scott Moore, a master of building and leading “No-Fail” teams, delivers his compelling Principles for Leading High-Performance Teams presentation. He’ll share stories of teamwork in life-and-death circumstances and insights on recruiting, training, and equipping teams that exceed expectations.

3) The founder of Neenah Foundry, Frank Headington, presents the 2025 Hoyt Memorial Lecture titled, “Servant Leadership: A Leadership Concept for Today’s World.” Servant leadership, he says, is about serving people, not using people, and serving others is the most meaningful and satisfying way for leaders to live and lead.

4) Harry Moser, founder of The Reshoring Initiative, concludes the keynote lineup with his talk titled, Reshoring Update for North American Foundries. Listen to the trends and real stories spotlighting the advantages of reshoring and nearshoring manufacturing.

It takes four days to unpack the riches of CastExpo, which is filled with several special events offering attendees the opportunity to enjoy great food, network with peers, recognize significant individual accomplishments, and have some fun. Highlights include the first-ever Women in Metalcasting Dinner, Future Leaders of Metalcasting Reception, Volunteer Leadership Awards Luncheon, and the Annual Banquet. Additional RSVPs and/or tickets may be required.
