AFS Corporate Member Benton Foundry was recently honored as one of eight manufacturers receiving a 2024 Manufacturers and Employers Award from the Northeast Pennsylvania Manufacturers and Employers Association  on April 10. 

Given to companies that demonstrated excellence in 2023, the award recognized Benton for environmental measures it took during a recent expansion, both mitigating potential negative effects on natural waters and habitats, as well as maximizing efforts to benefit them. The foundry installed 1.6 acres of engineered wetlands in a High-Quality Watershed. 

“We take pride in our commitment to environmental initiatives to ensure eco-friendly casting operations, and we are honored to receive this recognition,” said Environmental Manager Kevin Trychta.
