Small Business Administration recognizes Humtown Products
AFS Corporate Member Humtown Products was one of 68 businesses being recognized nationally as a Legacy Business by the U.S. Small Business Administration, according to a story at wfmj.com.
On August 23, the SBA presented a trophy recognizing Humtown Products as a legacy business at its newly expanded manufacturing facility on Cherry Fork Ave. in Leetonia, Ohio.
According to SBA, Humtown, like other Legacy Businesses, has benefitted from SBA resources in its early stages.
Humtown Products is a third-generation company that has served the foundry industry for more than 60 years, turning a pattern shop into a global leader and innovator of conventional and 3D printed sand cores and molds which provide manufacturers with a faster method of producing prototypes for their products.
Humtown supplies 3D-printed cores and molds to foundries and original equipment manufacturers who work with foundries all over the world to use for their castings. Humtown serves the automotive, aerospace, transportation, power generation, medical, construction, and industrial equipment industries.
Several dignitaries attended the trophy presentation at the company’s Leetonia facility.
It wasn’t Humtown Products’ first national award. In 2020, the company was presented with two Manufacturing Leadership Awards by the National Association of Manufacturers.
