Charlotte Pipe buys local properties
In the last two months of 2021, AFS Corporate Member Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Co. acquired two local properties for a combined $13.85 million, according to a report from the Charlotte Business Journal.
On November 1, the foundry bought a former furniture building on 1.1-acres and on December 21, purchased a one-acre from a medical properties company. The deals represent Charlotte Pipe’s fourth acquisition on one block that’s adjacent to the company’s headquarters, having purchased two properties in the 1980s and another in 2016.
Meanwhile, the Journal reported, a 55-acre site previously housing Charlotte Pipe’s plant and offices, has been rezoned, and city pundits speculate it may be developed as a new NFL stadium for the Carolina Panthers.
