The World Foundry Organization (WFO) has announced that the World Foundry Congress will be held in Deyang City, China, October 25-30. The WFO is an international association of metalcasting societies. AFS is the sole WFO representative for the U.S.

This is the third time China will host the event––it previously hosted the event in 1995 and 2010. This year’s theme is “Developing Foundry.”

Those who wish to apply to be an “Academic Committee member,” and possibly deliver remarks or review papers, should email secretary@75wfc.com before 2/29.

The organizers have also issued a Call for Papers on these topics: Ferrous Alloy; Non-Ferrous Alloy; Molding Material; Process & Technology; Digitalization & Intelligence; Management; and Sustainable Development. Two-page abstracts in English are due by February 29 and extended abstracts by May 31 to the same email address. The abstract template and other information can be found at www.75wfc.com.
